IRS Wage Garnishments

IRS is not bound by exempt property provisions under state laws, as other creditors are attempting to enforce their judgments.  IRS has a policy of limiting the levy to the "take home pay."  IRS will allow the normal deductions of pensions, health insurance, etc.

You are not left with enough in your paycheck to pay your bills:  rent or mortgage, car payment, buy food, etc.  Your employer is required by law to withhold monies from your paycheck once the wage garnishment is served on the employer.

The Tax Law Pros are regularly hired to negotiate a release of wage garnishment in exchange for a payment plan.  A well negotiated payment plan will allow you to keep your whole paycheck and give you peace of mind of no future wage garnishments.
